The 15-year-old city girl passed away at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto late Wednesday night, only nine months after a potentially life-saving lung transplant to replace her own failing lungs.
Initially, the transplant appeared successful. But over the months, complications arose, including cancer. Baker, who became a symbol of courage and the value of organ donation in Cambridge and beyond, was unable to visit her home at Christmas.
