Donate Life float won Best Theme according to Myrtle Beach City councilman Randall Wallace. It features his brother who was an organ donor.
Since 2004, the Donate Life Rose Parade Float has served as a memorial to organ and tissue donors and a platform for donor families, living donors and transplant recipients to inspire the world to save and heal those in need through the gift of life.
The Donate Life Rose Parade Float was featured in the the annual parade Wednesday in Pasadena, California.
The 7,740 dedicated roses on the float themed "Light Up the World" also included handwritten messages and floragraphs of organ donors.
More than 120,000 people in the U.S. are on the waiting list for a life-saving organ transplant.
