
The Chacon family decorates Angel Chacon’s floragraph for the Donate Life Rose Parade float.
Three local families will honor their departed loved ones with floragraphs on the Donate Life float in the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.
For 11 years, the Donate Life float has served as a memorial to organ and tissue donors and a platform for donor families, living donors and transplant recipients to inspire others. The donors are commemorated with floragraphs, which are portraits of the deceased organ donors.
The honored individuals during the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena are Joshua San Pedro, 22, of Rancho Cucamonga, Dylan Rotellini, 18, of Fontana and two-month old Angel Chacon of Pomona.
“This is an honor, we’re so proud of our son, and this is the perfect way to share our son’s story,” said Lydia Gonsalez, mother of Angel Chacon.
