PITTSBURGH — The organs of a 2-year-old Clearfield County girl were used to save a 7-year-old old girl's life at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Karl Williams said he ordered a sophisticated battery of tests, including a CAT scan, to make sure no trauma was present.
"We can successfully take organs if we do it carefully out of the abdomen where there is no evidence of injury and that that will not interfere with our ability to get the evidence we need,” said Williams.
