
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Jan Early went to visit her granddaughter, Malia Ruiz's gravesite Wednesday afternoon on the seven month anniversary of her death.
"Someone had told us they thought her Christmas tree had fallen over so I came to try and get it set back up right and when I came out here the tree had been stolen and her bench was broken in three places," Early said. "I don't understand how someone could do that to a child's grave."
Plus she found decorations missing and destroyed. Malia's mother Ryan Hall said she couldn't believe what happened.
"It broke my heart to know that anybody could do something like that. I'm still speechless," Hall said.
