GOSHEN – Orange County Executive Edward Diana underwent liver transplant surgery just three weeks ago, was home from the hospital in seven days and is back to work already.
“I think I look pretty good,” he said Monday at his first public appearance when he revealed that had he not received the call for the operation in Manhattan, he was bound for Nashville, where he was going to be placed on another transplant list.
Diana came out of the anesthesia seven hours after the nine hour operation was completed, was out of bed on the second day and within the next few days, was back to eating solid food.
