A WESTON mum who gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation was among a number of people posthumously honoured at a Somerset awards ceremony.
Jacqueline Lewis helped give three other people a new lease of life following her death earlier this year, by donating organs in a series of transplants.
This week her family – mother Margaret, son Benjamin and daughter Portia – attended a ceremony to pay tribute to her actions.
The event – organised by the Order of St John and NHS Blood and Transplant – was held in memory of those whose deaths saved lives and gave hope to others.
