CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Lifebanc, a nonprofit organ and tissue recovery organization in Northeast Ohio, has been pounding the pavement at local colleges and universities this fall to show people just how easy it is to sign up to become an organ donor.
How easy, you ask? It’s as simple as running 32 feet.
Lifebanc’s Good Made Easy campaign recently visited four local colleges and universities -- Cleveland State University, the University of Akron, Youngstown State and Kent State University -- to offer a .01K challenge. Yes, you read that right. Only 32 short, little feet.
The campaign wrapped up last week and registered 25 new, valid donors. Cleveland State University’s Public Relations Student Society of America won $500 for helping CSU register the most valid donors (13).
