
The couple of an 8-month-old baby searching for a liver donor say they are overwhelmed with the response from the public.
Miranda Riddell said since CTV first ran the story she had heard from dozens of people wanting to help.
“We’ve had people who can't donate money or their liver and they've bought Christmas presents even for my two children because they feel they want to help,”
Eight-month-old Nikita Campbell and mom, Miranda Riddell, have been at the Stollery Children's Hospital waiting for a liver donor since the beginning of September.
Riddell said they were still waiting on a compatible donor but they were hoping one would be found soon.
Those interested in becoming live donors have been asked to contact the live donor program at the University of Alberta to request a package.
