A Winchester man who was hoping for a kidney transplant died unexpectedly Sunday night.
Jim McCord's wife, Polly, created sign magnets for her car asking for whatever help she could get to to find him a new kidney.
Polly said the donor list had 98,103 people in front of him back when LEX 18 first aired the story of her quest to find Jim, 68, a kidney back in November.
