A local New York State Trooper who was killed in an accident more than two years ago is being honored for his gift of organ donation.
Trooper Kevin Dobson was struck and killed by a passing vehicle in March of 2011 as he was making a routine traffic stop on I-290 in the Town of Tonawanda. Dobson was a registered donor, and his contributions have helped enhance the lives of 70 people, according to the donation center Unyts.
Dobson's father, former sheriff's deputy and Democratic sheriff candidate Richard Dobson, says he is proud of his son's enduring legacy.
