PLUCKY: Thumbs up from Max Price four weeks after his operation

‘SO far –- so good’ – that’s the message from Max Price’s family after his brave father donated a kidney to the five-year-old.

It was little Max’s second kidney transplant after his first donor organ failed and had to be removed in January last year.

The Weymouth youngster, who was born with chronic renal failure and his selfless dad Shaun went into theatre in October.

Mum Michelle told the Echo that both operations had gone well with the transplant looking like a ‘success’.

Although Max is currently recovering from a sickness bug, his mum said he was on track to make a full recovery.
