Little Joseph Sargeant’s battle to stay alive ended last night.
He had many victories throughout the first five months of his life that he spent at Sick Kids hospital. But after open-heart surgeries, mechanical pumps, a number of procedures and even more complications, the little baby boy from Bolton who was in need of a new heart slipped away on Wednesday evening.
His Twitter page run by his family, @littleJoesHeart, posted a tweet early Thursday afternoon stating: “Joseph joined the angels who'd been waiting for him last night. He was a fighter, a warrior and a beautiful baby boy. It was an honour.”
News of his passing was also circulated on the Facebook page Little Joe's Heart.
