
Mahwah — Two deceased township volunteers will be among the organ donors commemorated on a float in the annual New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif.
The float by Donate Life, an organ donation organization, will include the images of 81 deceased organ donors, including those of Michael Drozd, 46, a township volunteer firefighter who was killed in a vehicle accident in 2008, and Ena "Po-Po" Lue, 68, a local church volunteer who died after a car accident left her with severe brain damage in 2010.
Among the 30 float riders will be Drozd’s widow Pamela Drozd, and Lue’s daughter, Jacqueline Lue Raia, both longtime residents.
