What started as a Facebook post from a sick B.C. individual soon became a kidney donation thanks to one Edmonton man.
Darin Grundberg became an organ donor after hearing about Kevin Campbell’s online struggle to find a donor for his failing kidney as a result of Berger’s disease.
“I thought if I was in his position, it would be kind of nice if someone could step up for me,” said the Edmontonian.
Hearing about Campbell’s potential 12-year wait for a healthy organ through extended family, Grundberg went to Campbell’s Facebook page originally called “Kevin Needs a Kidney,” and admired his passion for life.
