RENO, NEV. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)--Nurses at Renown's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit were recognized by the California Transplant Donor Network for their dedication and support of the organ donation program.
In 2012, 26 patients are Renown became organ donors. Currently there are over 90,000 people waiting for an organ donation in the country.
A local mother has learned first hand how organ donation can not only be healing for a grieving family, but also help other families at the same time.
